Day Thirty-Seven

It does not look like much has actually been done today but it has, the water and drainage is sorted for the upstairs bathroom and every bit of ceiling that can be covered up has been.  Have a look for yourself.

Did you spot today’s news?  We have walls and ceilings!  They are looking good and the plasterers are due fairly soon to smooth out those walls and make it ready for lots and lots of white paint. Underground the infrastructure of pipes and drains are ready to receive the shower and I’d better order the tiles soon.  The upstairs bathroom is what we’re planning now and we are nearly there, I’ll be ordering it all up tomorrow.  We need also to decide on a worktop for the downstairs bathroom.  Our choice is laminate, corian type, maia or simply tiling the surface too.  I’m off to the lovely B&Q very soon to have a look very soon.

The runners did very well despite horrendous conditions, especially F on Saturday.  The half marathon time was just amazing at 1 hour 50.  A new personal best by 8 minutes, very impressive.

Day Thirty-Four

That’s us at seven weeks now, wow, this week has really flown in.  New stairs, lights decided on, windows organised, skeleton walls with some solid plasterboard up. The progress is incredible if you look back at these.

Here’s today’s photos, hope you like them,

Friday afternoons have evolved a new ritual recently, the clear up for the weekend.  The hall goes through a huge dust removal procedure (extreme hoovering) and the bathroom gets cleaned and given its weekend look.  The colours in the mat are brilliant.

Other Stuff

We have some new improved dogs today, I always forget how funny they look when they’ve been clipped.  I think they look at little embarassed – what do you think?

There’s a bit of a running theme going on here this weekend, F is doing a sponsored run tomorrow and C  is doing a half marathon on Sunday. The closest thing to running I’ll be doing is running after them I suspect. Good on them though.

Just took this picture of Lucy relaxing, she’s so funny.
