Day Seventy-Eight

We have carpet in all the bedrooms now.  At last, it took lots of phoning and checking but it is here.  Everything is getting closer to completetion upstairs but the mess downstairs has become quite overwhelming.  That’s another story.

At least my new bedroom is clean, clear and tidy!

where the bed ended up for now.

It took a lot of effort to get our trusty bed up there, the quilt cover is brand new and I absolutely love it. Any guesses who it is by?  The furniture conundrum continues but I am now content to use what we have and scour gumbay for what we need, not that I know what that is yet. There are a couple of recent purchases I must show you once I’ve got them in situ, another another story.

Other Stuff

Rice do great colourful, practical and unusual items and are based in Denmark.  These bowls and plates were bought in the Ness sale in darkest winter and I found them under my bed (with 1000 other things including lots of dust). Have a look at their delightful website here.  The coloured glasses are another favourite of mine, I have large and small in lots of colours and recommmend them wholeheartedly.  cups in previous post

I am trying out a different theme for the blog tonight, I’m not sure if it will stay or go, what do you think?

  1. I knew it was on orla bed set – looks fab really stands out against the white walls. Love the carpets and your wee shelf in the wall looks full of useful things. Liking the new blog – have missed your posts K x

    1. Ah, it looks great now, there is nothing in there at all, dreading furniture making it shrink..The bed alcove bit is not generous that’s for sure. Thanks for the comment about the new look, still not quite sure yet!
